The effect of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of fruit pell of Punica granutum against Leishmania major in vitro and in vivo

Abstract

The effects of aqueous and alcoholic extract of Punica granatum, were studied against the activity and growth of promastigote of Leishmania major in vitro. The alcoholic extract was used by topical route against BALB/c mice infected with L.major. The alcoholic extract showed high activity against L.major promastigote than aqueous extract.
