About This Journal
Al-Qadisiyah Medical Journal (QADMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published biannually in English by the College of Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah (Al-Diwaniyah, Iraq). The journal publishes original articles, review articles, and case reports across medicine and biomedical sciences, providing a platform for researchers and clinicians to share scientifically sound and clinically relevant work.
QADMJ follows COPE guidance and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold high standards of research integrity, ethical conduct, and transparent reporting.
Journal History
QADMJ has been published by the College of Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah (Al-Diwaniyah, Iraq) since 2007, providing a peer-reviewed forum for research and scholarly discussion in medicine and biomedical sciences.
The journal expanded its online presence in 2014 to support wider access to published content and long-term availability. In 2026, QADMJ migrated to Digital Commons publishing platform to enhance the journal’s digital presentation and discoverability and to support continued improvement in editorial workflow and global reach.
Publishing schedule
QADMJ is published biannually (two issues per year). The journal aims to publish the first issue in June–July and the second issue in December of the same year. The Editorial Office recognizes the importance of maintaining a consistent publication schedule and works to minimize delays in order to meet the expectations of authors, readers, and indexing services.
Open Access Statement
QADMJ is an open access journal. All published articles are freely available online to read and download immediately upon publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits reuse and sharing with appropriate attribution.
To support open access publishing, an article processing charge is applied to accepted manuscripts. Current APC information is available on the Author Guidelines page.
Abstracting and Indexing
QADMJ is committed to making published research broadly discoverable and accessible to the international scientific and clinical community. The journal seeks inclusion in reputable abstracting and indexing services to support visibility and citation of its published work.
QADMJ is currently included in:

- Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ)
In addition, published articles are assigned DOIs via Crossref, supporting persistent linking and accurate citation.
Language
QADMJ publishes all content in English.
Digital Archiving
QADMJ supports long-term access to its published content through digital preservation and archiving arrangements. The journal is archived in CLOCKSS. In addition, QADMJ utilizes IASJ for digital archiving of published articles.
